The Best IRS Tax Relief Firms Reviewed

According to our criteria, the best IRS tax relief firms in the nation are listed on this page. To determine who the best were we conducted a wide search on the Internet, watched countless hours of Fox News, CNN, and the other cable channels where tax relief commercials and advertisements tend to hang out, and listened to way too much talk radio. We wanted to find the most established IRS tax relief companies, the companies that offered full tax relief services, and the firms who are large enough and reputable enough to handle most tax relief cases.

After we picked our candidates, we conducted a series of scoring exercises that took into account the reputations, quality of service, and popularity of each of the firms. In all cases, we found that the best IRS tax relief firms reviewed were the larger, more established firms. Check out our IRS tax relief review criteria for more information on how we arrived at the scores you see below. You can also take a look at the individual reviews for each of the IRS tax relief firms scored by clicking on the company’s name.

Do Your Research

Before calling any of the reviewed tax relief companies, go to their websites and look for a couple of things. See how much information they provide and how clearly their processes are discussed. Is the site designed around pushing you to call or contact the company without much information about how they do what they do? Or does the company provide pages that describe the various types of tax problems they handle and details about what the IRS may or may not do in a given situation?

As luck would have it, most of the highest ranking tax relief firms in our review are also Google’s top picks. Follow the links in the right column of this page to begin researching the companies you want to check out. You can also find links to each tax relief firm we reviewed on the review pages. Great info! Thank you for putting this info together. Question… wouldn’t it be just as effective to file a OIC form directly with the IRS assuming I have read through the IRS OIC booklet and I qualify?
    What do you think?

We saw that the Texas Attorney General announced a suit against TaxMasters today. Accordingly, we updated their score to reflect that Tax Masters has government action taken against them. Our hope at this point is that one of these companies can get it together to be able to really help people without taking advantage of anyone.

It’s clear people need dependable tax help. We will watch the Texas Attorney General case and see what happens.

I am currently employed by Taxmasters and I was recently promoted to Asst. Director. Everything listed in the complaint by the attorney general is true and accurate, But rest assured, we are changing things. I will make sure of it.

How do you rate or have you heard any comments (negative or positive) on Esquire Tax Relief, Inc. in CA (LA area)?

You must be with taxmasters because I heard they were a bunch of crooks, and if you rate them at the top then this website sucks.
